One of the great advantages of filigree is its versatility. In addition to being flat and/or used individually, filigree can also be built up, or stacked, into clusters to add interest and complexity to whatever you want to make. We've done some experimenting with a few pieces, and came up with some new clusters. Most of these filigree clusters have a recessed area in the middle for adding a stone. A few of them take a flat back stone, approximately 6 m/m in size. Some of them have an inverted center, to form a large cup to hold a larger rounded bottom item.
