Lovers of Christmas jewelry will enjoy this second edition of Jill Gallina’s book, Christmas Pins Past and Present. In her introduction, the author tells how she jumped at the chance to share "the innovative changes that have occurred in the Christmas costume jewelry arena over the seven years since volume one was released." She feels that exciting new designers and the advent of the Internet are the influences that have changed the "entire climate" of collecting. This edition includes information on dating, pricing, designers past and present, but the photos are the best attraction. Every category is illustrated, with identification and price guides. Shown are signed trees, unsigned trees, fakes and reproductions, patriotic holiday, white Christmas, blue Christmas, partridge in a pear tree, Santa, snowmen, angels, reindeer, Christmas creatures and critters and much more. Anything you may have put on your Christmas list is here. Collectors, you will have fun, (as well as learn) with this book.
