Well finally, there’s a book devoted to unsigned costume jewelry. I knew it was but a matter of time, but I feared when it did appear, it would be worthless.

Happily, such is not the case. VFCJ’s Marcia Brown, well known for her knowledge and interest in Costume Jewelry has authored a lovely volume entitled " Unsigned Beauties of Costume Jewelry."

Marcia has an extensive personal collection of both signed and unsigned jewelry and has graciously shared many lovely examples of the latter in this book. In addition to the beautiful photographs there are excellent sections dealing with rhinestone history; basic jewelry concepts, which includes information on stones, and materials and a great segment on starting a collection.

This detailed publication contains time charts, fashion style dating, care, storage, and restoration, all very worthwhile topics whether you’re a novice or an old hand at collecting.

All in all, a splendid addition to any bookshelf. Oh, by the way - this book is dedicated to VFCJ’s own Lucille Tempesta. How about that !!!

An autographed copy of Marcia’s book can be obtained by sending $24.95 to Marcia Brown, P.O. Box 2314, White City, OR 97503
