Guyot Brothers jewelry findings factory during WWII was transformed into a medical supplies factory producing first aid supplies such as stretcher clamps and tourniquet clamps. The equipment needed was the same and the skills of the findings worker were most beneficial to the rapid gearing up that was so necessary. Pictured here is the foot press department where much of the final assembly was done. As was the case in so many similar war time factory photos, the shop was staffed with large numbers of women. Also note the American flag on the back wall.
