The jewelry designers cross pollination Patricia mentions in her on jewelry designer McClelland Barclay is something that jewelry findings manufacturers have known about for years but can not really talk about because of confidentiality issues, however in this case everything can be viewed in a historical prospective (both companies are now out of business) presenting a rare opportunity to peek behind the scenes of the jewelry designers world. Guyot Brothers at one time did a fair amount of exclusive tooling and stamping for Brooks & Co and comparing pictures of these products with some of the McClelland Barclay products this jewelry designer "cross pollination" can be seen. Our first example, is this elephant bracelet link and deer bracelet link made for Brooks and the lamb bracelet link made by Barclay
Another example that evokes similar feel is the sculptured doves, Barclay's on the left, Brooks & Co the right
Below are photos of original hubs used to make Brooks & Co jewelry finding tooling.
